Hello, I'll start by saying I'm from England originally but have been living permanently in the USA since June 2010. I'm from Wyoming NOW. :)

I bought my first Laserdisc player in the fall of 2016. A Pioneer CLD-1090. I then started buying discs from eBay (carefully looking up versions etc on LDDb.com). Those discs and some I came across locally now number around 150. I also have a Pioneer CLD -S104 and a Pioneer CLD-S201. I did some side by side comparisons of picture quality, but the 1090 always looked SLIGHTLY better to me and I think because it was my first and is in such great condition, I just cant put it in storage.

I really love Laserdiscs. There is something about the size, artwork, look, weight and feel, history, interaction, preservation and my great taste in movies(!!!) that make handling and watching laserdiscs such a special hobby.

Favorite laserdisc? Star Wars 1130-84 Second favorite laserdisc? about 149 of them.

Cheers! Yeah, I'm from Leicester originally. Been to Edinburgh a couple of times and had a good time. I'm a big fan of Fish (Marillion) who is about as Scottish as you can get. Lol.

Thank you. As long as my LD players keep working and I find new LD's to collect, I'll be clicking on this website/forum. This isn't a passing interest for me. Even though I'm very new to the LD world, I am very passionate about it. I instagram pictures and details about my collection regularly.

Instagram: filmmaker.wy if anyone is interested. Currently, I'm instagramming my X-Files LD's. I have 18/21 and will complete my USA release collection soon with the remaining three.
