Just picked up 1000+ discs and a couple of players.
Pretty new to LD's.. being from a more tape background.
Should be interesting going through them all... Most will be sold I think..

Good luck, that's quite a haul, from the bad pics I see the few look like PAL discs, these may not be worth as much as you hoped, hope you didn't pay too much. Also need to make sure they play well or you must offer refunds on faulty discs. May be best off selling lots as is on ebay or whatever you have local like gumtree? or is that from Australia? Best thing may be those cases that hold the discs, look really cool, are they Pioneer? |

If you want to help yourself do some research. Mid-range players at best. You'll always do better selling off individual titles than bulk lots but it's obviously more work... |

HI, thanks for the advice, loads of NTSC discs too! there's probably 300ish that probably will be binned lol.. I paid £300 for the lot, I'm in the UK. I usually only buy tapes, but this seemed like too good an offer to pass up.. I quickly looked for stuff on Ebay, Criterion Bonds, Matrix etc, which aren't in this lot... Quite a lot of Pre-cert era releases which are cool.. I'm into the horror stuff... so the likes of the John Carpenter films are pleasing, along with the Star Wars trilogy Any advice on what to look for would be gratefully received. Cheers Ste |

Well that's a really nice lot for this price. Since there are ntsc disc, if by any chance there are some animes LDs that you don't want, I might be interested

I don't know if others agree but I reckon also checking out if any of the US & (if any) Japan discs are DTS audio releases as if so you would be better off selling those separately, likewise any marked as Squeeze LD as these will fetch a far higher price than regular flavour versions. |

The storage cases aren't branded as far as I can see. There are 10 of them. No Anime LD's as far as I can see up to now, I's say 80/90% are NTSC. I'll start a thread and get some better pics up later |

At least some of those titles are analog only PAL discs. I wonder if either of those players can even play those. |

So for 300 pounds roughly 380us dollars. How long do you think it will take for him to recoup the money? Stickered and all? Older PAL pressings, off films and hollywood blockbusters. Damn I need to move to these foreign places and buy property cheap so I can have some massive storage spaces for pennies on the dollar......... Took me about 3 months but I just sold my Lady and the Tramp copy he has pictured for 6 bucks on ebay, so he may do well. |

The older PAL pressings play fine on both players.. These, especially the horror stuff are things I may keep.. mainly for the artwork. A little advice? Am i best listing a lot of these singularly on ebay or as job lots of say 50? Thanks in advance |
