Hi LDDb folks.
I had been quietly going on my obsessive personal quest to replace my dead and much-loved Yamaha CDV-W901 and buying LD players on eBay that were showing up inoperative because no one on eBay knows what a transport screw is, when I discovered this site and was pleased to see the community.

I've mostly been a cybersecurity person, former s/w developer, and telecom guy for a while. In more recent decades, I've been a coach to tech startup founders and investor when I'm not trying to figure out my own "next new thing."
For fun, I sometimes like to scan satellites for weird TV.
Nouns/adjectives of note for me might be: Serious coffee drinker, hacker, angel, pilot, third-generation amateur radio operator, occasional competitive shooter, and aspiring perfumer. I could tell you some others, but then I'd have to give your LD collection bit rot.
