Wecome from New Zealand! Enjoy adding your LDs to the database, its fun to see if are worth anything or not. If you have any that the database is missing covers , basic information or anything interesting dont be shy to do so

Hello there! Did you keep your broken 99? Any possibility in getting it fixed locally? Next step would be to watch some of those discs.

hybrid9tn wrote: leaning towards selling the collection. Some of the Criterion Collection and Special Editions have such beautiful artwork its a shame to have to get rid of it. I just don't have the space anymore. I know I'll be moving into a house with my GF in hopefully a year and if we can afford a big enough place and can find a reliable player on secondary market, I may reconsider this. But it's Los Angeles and expensive as s**t to live here. LOL You've come to a Laserdisc forum, so naturally my response will be to keep your discs and try to find somewhere to repair your player! Then sit back, relax and spin some shiny 12" discs. As laserpaal says it's quite easy so you may be able to fix it yourself. If not, we can always help you here at lddb.

hybrid9tn wrote: It had been repaired twice already. Belts kept breaking. 1 you're lucky that's all that ever happened to this player. 2 if you plan on keeping/collecting LDs then you will need to get used to doing this type of thing. Any of these older formats need your own hands on repairs, we have no real techs around anymore. Kurtis is on the forum from time to time but we need to be hands on with these repairs as he's the last one.
