I'm Dave and I have been doing all things home entertainment for ages. I go all the way back to buying a NEW Sony Beta recorder at the time, fighting and losing that format war. LOL! I have a Pioneer 3070 LD player which was very good at the time. I have about 50 LD's and a few that are superb films and seem like they will never come out on DVD or BD, so I want to do something to get them on to digital. I will start a separate thread about that later, (or find one already here) but I just wanted to introduce myself now.
So hello from a Burb of Chicago! :D

Dave, you said that you wanted to do something to get some LD content on digital. Are you familiar with converter modules, like the ones you can buy at Best Buy? They are made to get an RCA feed into them, and then give out a USB feed into your computer to record the footage, usually from a VCR, but you can do it with an LD player! The one I use is called Vid Box. Buzz me if you have any questions!

Good day Daveskynet,

in the 1970's the military satellites circling the earth were called Skynet and then they wrote this by design in the T2 script, no surprises there.

Just read your introduction and enjoyed reading Sir

Kind Regards
