value is what someone will pay.
are they NTSC and do they have any English audio or just indonesian???
you should also insert them into the database if you can.

they are ntsc and probably they are in malay ..... I dont have a player, but I know somebody that has ....... hope they play fine :?

i heared from collecters that collect indonesian movies, that they never seen an indonesian laserdisc before ...... it would be very interesting to compare the laserdisc with the vcd releases ......... ofcours I hope the laserdiscs look smashing ;)

and I understand that the value is also depending how much somebody is willing to pay for smething ......... but things do have a value......

I saw some very mainstream movies on laserdisc go for a very high price, cause they were "rare" ........

Those look cool!

I imagine they aren't worth jack on the open market.

if you think so ...... sold several indonesian betamax tapes for 300euro each ;)

maybe certain releases are more interesting for "movie collecters" as for "media" collecters.

I have a friend that spended 2000euro on a laserdisc, just because it is the longest running version of a film ,,,,,

i agree that there is value to these LDs, i would only be interested if there was english.
but then it would also have to do with the film and cost.

others i'm sure are willing to pay for these gems.
try to get them tested and know if they are widescreen, english or ?? so you can get the most for them.
good luck.

and i saw a film called lady terminator, in one of the scenes she was going through a mall and passed
an electronics store that had laserdisc signs.

Their value will also be affected by the condition of the jackets which if the second one is anything to go by look pretty scruffy.
I'd say these are almost certainly ex-rental discs. On the plus side this probably means they play ok although if they don't have
an english soundtrack they are probably not worth much unless someone likes collecting tatty covers.

Yes I am very interested too. I go there each year once or twice ( mostly Jakarta ) and I am very interested. Maybe someone in
Jakarta is selling them.

Could you please be so kind as to post any pictures of the covers ? Thank you.

I am quite often in Indonesia as my girlfriend lives there. Maybe some shop in Jakarta
still selling this stuff but that is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I have found a dealer in the capital Jakarta who actually already owns some Indonesia
issued LDs. Many of them are Chinese titles or Karaoke titles. He will sell me one for
40000 Rupiah which is roughly 4 Dollars US. As soon as I get them I will
add them to the database with cover.

Indonesian laserdiscs seem to be very rare but I found someone selling this Indonesian LD which is not a Karaoke LD.
My girlfriend will buy it for me.

Here it is:

http://koleksi.tokobagus.com/kaset-piri ... 05634.html

Warkop are a comedy group from Indonesia and this is a disc containing some of their sketches I assume. I am sure it is not
funny ( from a Western point of view ) but at least it is a real Indonesian title.

I will also try to find other titles but that is not easy at all.

Not so many Indonesian movies on LD ... but there are some already listed on LDDb:

https://www.lddb.com/search.php?adv_search=*&adv_reference=&country=23&format=ld

I found this pages with a few interesting pics, I don't think any of them are listed yet!

Those are really cool covers but totally unthinkable nowadays in Indonesia given how a once very moderate muslim country is becoming more and more conservative each year. It is sad.

I have two of these discs on the pictures but they are not on the database yet.
