Never saw that video before. Anyway when I think back WTF did you really do with these computers anyway? I had a Vic-20 and an Atari ST, when I think about it all I did on the Vic was some Bob image after typing code for 2 days with my father and brother. The ST was only good for the games and I loved Sundog. |

At that time, on my Amiga 500, then 1200: Music sampling (8-bit!), noise/protracking for demos Running MacOS apps (ShapeShifter) and Unix (FreeBSD) 2D painting for websites Spreadsheets/accounting And of course gaming! I miss the ARexx port that made it easy to automate almost any app from scripts. I used to miss CED (CygnusED) but UltraEdit is a great replacement. They are still making megademos for Amiga in 2021... and they still look great! https://files.scene.org/view/parties/2021/revision21/results.txt Julien |

OMG that looks like the games I played when I was a kid on my ST. Didn't think you could do much with those cassette program tapes that the VIC had. Spreadsheets/accounting as a kid, you lost me. |

Ah the long lost classic days of the C64 and Amiga demo scenes! If I may be so rude as to derail this thread ever so slightly and post some of my favourites if nobody minds? The LEGENDARY demo Jesus On E's. We used to play this on a big screen at house parties many years ago. Rightfully earned it's place as a classic! State Of The Art was another amazing demo. You'd normally play this after Jesus On E's. Great as a VJ wall projection. Dutch Breeze by Blackmail. One of the best demo's ever created on the C64. An astonishing piece of work. Coma Light 13 by Oxyron is pretty darn spectacular too! Fantasmolytic by Censor and Oxyron is just mind-blowing. The C64 pushed to the edge! and then there's this... How in the heck is that a Commodore 64 doing that? Mind utterly and completely blown. |

But a group of friends back from school are still releasing Amiga 500 demos! Julien |

I customized my Amiga 1200 to fit inside a PC tower, added a Blizzard 1230 w/ 68882 with with external keyboard+PS/2 mouse adapter, flicker fixer to use it on a PC screen, 2.5" HDD and I had a desktop that could boot within a few seconds. I was a geeky teenager Julien |
