I keep saying well i have enough titles then i find another one that i want as a replacement for one of mine or one i read about here as being rare so i will try to win. Japan titles being sold in the the USA at a low price im like a kid in a candy store again.

I have extra players & the thing that worries me now is that i have a over 10 year old analog tv set & if it should go out can they get the parts for it or do i look for a used analog tv or take a chance on getting a new tv.

My parents have a nearly 20-year-old Mitsubishi analog tv that's still going. the picture started going in and out on it about a year ago when you first turn it on. after it warmed up, it was fine, but it got to be annoying. they were able to take it to get it fixed at a local shop. so there's still people that repair them, if you're willing to put the money into them. But, i've heard several stories on here of people finding 30 inch and higher CRTs for $50 or less. find a friend that wants to get rid of one, maybe they'll even let you have it for helping them move it out of their house

yes, it's amazing they still make parts for our old electronics

you can even get parts for raidos and TVs that are over 30 years old. and even tubes for radios and amps that are 60+ years old.

it's a really dirty job but what goes bad are the capacitors, if you have the time and ablity you just make a list of every one in the set on the chassis, buy them and replace them.

a cap kit could cost around 5-15 for a set.
if you know how to solder then you can do it, but it's got electricity in the tube part and it is dangerous, so you either have to know what you're doing or get someone to charge you 100 or so to do an 1hr job.
but then you don't have to worry about death.

or just get a newer one for 30-60 bucks.

Yes I know the feeling. This site has been very bad for my finances!!
I am much slower selling duplicates than I am acquiring them.

Still I don't think I could limit myself by saying I am only allowed to buy X more and that is it!
That would take all the fun out of collecting since I prefer to think there are many more great titles out there that I have yet to discover. Since this forum started my wishlist has more than tripled!
