I know MI:2 is going to be expensive because it was a 2001 Japan pressing, so I'm not here to discuss whether it's worth the price or not. I just want to know what any of you lucky men who haven viewed or owned the disc think of it. The LDDB listing says it has an awesome AC-3 track, do you guys agree or what? I also wanna know if the disc has excellent visual quality, and what its characteristics are. I do plan on acquiring this one sometime in the far off future, as I just binge watched MI, MI:3, and saw Ghost Protocol in a 2nd run theater. Just, put plain and simple, what do you guys think?

Good day flcl4evr,

I have the Mi 2 title on Laserdisc the sound and picture is great, I also have another one on the way ''and yes it's quite a high price to pay'' but I want it and usually purchase two of the movies that I really like.

I hope you are able to purchase this at a reasonably price at some stage ''hopefully soon''

Let us know how and when you aquire this, as it would be a pleasure to read of your result on finding one.

All the best to you.

Regards

 :)

It will probably be a looooooong ways away, seeing as I only make about 45 bucks a week and am still in high school, but I will eventually possess it!

Hello Friend,

Hey at least your working and that's to be commended ''I mean it''

Trust me when write that it's been tough for a number of the members here, when purchasing LD software and hardware.

Ever since I moved into my new Flat around 4 yrs ago, I have a lot less money to play with, and have struggled to make payments on an oustanding order reserved in Japan.

Your not the only one however, the good thing about this is when both of us do finally get the things we want, the appreciation will be far greater. . . . . .That's for sure.

I hope all goe's well for you in high school friend.

Kind Regards

:D

Yeah, I wrote that comment in 2005 after watching the movie twice.
It was a real pleasure on my setup then.

I should play it again to be able to give you more specific details about
the "stunning" moments of that soundtrack.

Will be back :)

So, I've play-tested it today and I can only confirm my LDDB comment from 2005.

The DD Soundtrack is a real pleasure.
Everything sounds powerful, even the flamenco dance at beginning of chapter 3.

But I cannot compare with the DVD since I do not own it (and do not intend to).

Hope this helps.

My M:I 2 will soon be for sale. The condition is 9/10. I give it 9 beacuse it is not sealed.

It's a must have for sure.
Was hunting many years for this one and finally purchased it trough ebay about 2 years ago.
Got a really good deal on it since I won the auction for about 160USD (a bargain for that specific title )
Picture quality is outstanding with razorsharp edges and solid black level just like Fight Club & U-571 btw. they are in the same league!
AC-3 Soundtrack is rock solid (R1 dvd is also very good) Flamenco scene is amazing.

only one complaint :
... It should have been a gatefold jacket

I would say... go for it :) leave school ! Get a job ;)

I can't wait to see how much it goes for.
