I have one in my collection but the movie is just too long for me.

Technically speaking it's four different movies, so saying it's eight hours long is like saying Lord of the Rings is 12 hours.

But it really is 12 hours long :?

You know what those crazy Americans are like with their ancient 110 volts

I know it's a joke, but a lot of people continue to propagate the misconception that USA is 110v, so for the record:

USA is 120v, not 110v. There _are_ a few countries that are actually 110v, like: Honduras, the British virgin islands, more...

USA residential _also_ has 240v though. My welder is 240v. My air compressor is 240v. (along with things like range and dryer)

Yeah, but it's three different movies! Only a complete madman would sit through all three in one sitting!

Although it is a great way to kill a weekend!

Yeah I couldn't sit through more than 1 at a time of the extended films.

I think when I had a bunch of time in the past it took me 7 days to watch all 3 films, I think it was something like a Monday, Friday Sunday?

Doubt I can sit through them again, I do own them but we'll see one day.

Yeah. Those movies were fun but I'm glad I watched them when I watched them. I can't imagine sitting through that much murky CG now, let alone 10 or 20 years from now. What wouldn't I rather be doing than watching those Frodos ride that dang tree for an hour...
