I have added a test pressing of "1941" to my collection. Announced as a Netherlands release by Philips but later cancelled. The test pressing was made by Philips Eindhoven. The number made is thought to be very low.

STAY AWESOME! :)

Mark

is it in PAL?
anything with hand writing on it is not ment for mass market and would not be in every collection!!

Yes, it's PAL. There were a small number of Netherlands releases in NTSC though.

I can't play it as it's in the PAL standard. However the seller played it prior to shipping it to me. It plays fine except for a light amount of speckling.

I have 3 different LD titles coming that were meant for release in the Netherlands but weren't. The discs in all three cases were made by Kuraray but the publisher cancelled them before the jacket art could be designed and printed. So they're not test pressings as this one is. A small batch were commercially made but never released.

STAY AWESOME! :)

I have my late dad's English PAL version. From what I was told it was withdrawn, I think it was a sampler or there was release problems to do with studio agreements.

I have never found a copy IN a jacket. I modified a Soundtrack album jacket to hold both discs - it has the same basic front cover art.
