 Post subject: What was the story with 3M Laser Videodiscs?

I see these pop up every now and then with obscure video programs recorded with printed labels, and that rainbow 3M cover. Did anyone deal with them back then? It seems they did low print runs but I'm curious about numbers including prices and minimum number of discs.

I’d assume that’s a promo, a test pressing, a recordable, etc. It’s not retail. The “low print run” is probably like a dozen or three…or even one.

Thanks! That was very informative. So those 3M custom discs go back as far as 1984.
