Plastic condoms has printed info on discs (how to handle the discs) and this info is many times pressed onto the disc surface leaving smudged prints. I don't touch the discs on play surface, should I bother leaving the residue on the disc as it is or should I wipe the disc clean with a soft cloth? These like smudge prints on disc surface don't affect playback? |

Hi Have seen this several times as well, it doesn't affect play back, I replace inner sleeves. I don't touch the surface or try to clean. Br Edwin |

Hiya. I have new paper innersleeves, maybe should use these instead. The so called smudge on disc surface also sometimes looks like a foggy layer of stains. Using the softest cloth and gently wiping from center hole to outer edge should remove stains. Thanks |

Yes, a soft micro Fibre cloth or old cotton t shirt wipes the blemishes away in my experience. No worries, mostly dust patterns noted from long storage. Cheers |

I've seen photos when people stores discs the wrong way, people piles up discs, the heavy stack presses the plastic protective bags onto discs leaving prints. This could also happen when discs are brand new wrapped in a tight factory seal leaving prints on discs. |
