A Panasonic 50" Plasma is the largest screen I can have in my house at the moment. Did consider a projector but my kids would tear it apart before I see it shine:(

I recently upgraded my surgesurpressor and cables. I can now confidently say I am done with LD gear(done with upgrades). From now on I am focusing on audio add ons and upgrades.

I upgraded from monster cable level 2 power center to Panamax 5300M level 4. which removes emi/rfi by 100db and has 5 seperate banks.
I bit the bullet and ordered the best cable I could buy. 1meter Audioquest hawkeye composite($350) cable which is 100%silver with dbs circuitry(a little device that is attached on fron end to remove noise)

even the wife who hates LDs noticed the picture is day and night better(now she will watch LDs). I can turn off all noise reduction on McIntosh Ld player and Crystalio II. There is NO smear whatso ever, and noise is nearly absent even from 3 feet.

I also upgraded power cords of pioneer plasma and crystalio with audioquest power cables. HDMI cords are audioquest chocolate. I dont think these improved anything(just placebo effect)
I need to calibrate my LD input with calman . there is a faint green tint that bothers me
I need some 15-20hrs to tweak to max
I asked my buddy to come over with his pro canon gear to take screen captures.

I use an older 480p Infocus 4805 projector from the early 2000s that serves LD fairly well, even at a 92" or so screen size.

I have a Samsung LCD TV 46" and when I hook up my CLD-R7G to the video input, the picture looks bad. I am not sure if the TV has a bad comb filter.
There is no svideo hook up? What would be the best way to connect it to the Samsung?
Thanks

Does the TV have component inputs?

My CLD-D515 is hooked up with a Sony 32' Wega/Trinitron and the image looks great, depending on what movie it is and if that movie has a good picturetransfer or not

36" Sony Trinitron CRT flat screen. CLD-D702 connected via composite cable. PS3 via component imput for games/DVD. I occasionally use the DVL-700 for ac3 discs, but usually keep that for CDs because the onboard DAC sounds quite good with headphones!
