When he took it to the shop the guy told him 10 bucks, lol. It was funny, I have seen some nes systems in lockers after that and I have talked to the other people there and we usually figure they are worth 13 bucks so we bid accordingly. Actually won an auction with one of those in it and was disappointed when I couldnt get 13k for it, I did try. Was happy with the 50 bucks I got though! lol :)

They over value items on that show. They take stuff out of the lockers say it's worth AT LEAST a hundred and fifty and they put that up on the score against what they paid, like they're actually getting that money for it. Truth is a lot of that stuff just won't sell that quickly or for what they say it will. After you've had it for awhile and haven't made any return, you've lost money on it.

I like Mike Wolfe from Pickers, I think he would be a good host for Top Gear America. I watched one episode of that and shut it off. Mostly it's how lame the hosts are, they need someone that can get enthusiastic about showing cars. Top Gear UK is the best, but I think Mike would be a good fit for the US version.

I find Mike Wolfe annoying :problem: I like Frank  And I think half the time Frank gets screwed over when Mike dives in without giving him a chance.
You don't like Rutledge Wood? My wife and I really enjoy Top Gear, laugh a lot watching it. The episode where they built the "limos" was a laugh out loud for sure

Yeah, to gel into a bigger pile of crap.

the British top gear is great, i loved that limo episode when the guy got upset in the back.
also the episode when they drove through America with horrible stuff written on the cars.

Alabama is a tough place, I’m amazed they are still alive after that one.

as for the pickers, i think that mike always get's one over on frank since he has all the money.
frank only buys 10 or 200 worth of stuff, he has no real money to spend.

and just what we need, for mike to get more TV shows and make more money even though he
is annoying

Here's my take on Mike...."look Frank, a ton of RARE laserdiscs for me, and a dozen copies of Top Gun for you!" I swear when Mike gets excited spit comes out of my TV (and it's NOT a 3D TV).

I hope you're talking about Top Gear UK, unless you're talking about the US episode where they ripped that idea off from the UK season 9. Yeah, Mike get's a little excited but he's really into what he likes. If you like something you've got to get a little crazy. I HAVE seen him spit before. It's that clear in 1080i. I've got all the Top Gear UK episodes. They're not filming this summer, I think because of Olympics but Clarkson said because of fat women singing. I can't wait to see that show again. It's definitely the best show on TV.

Actually there was a US limo episode. Cloris Leachman got a ride in something that looked like the Pope Mobile

I've never seen the UK version but I've seen it on the guide and it's one of the channels we get. After all these posts I'll have to check it out the next time I see it come up.
Meanwhile I've got to get back to work. I've got a PR-7820 on the bench  that's screaming out for attention :o

Not sure if any noticed it but the clip I posted the guy says its Nintendo's first DS which I found hilarious as well as the guy believing it to be a rare model worth that much money. DS is a the successor to the Gameboy and why some person thought it came first is beyond me. but anyway... Anyone watch Auction Kings? Its been interesting just like the History ones. I wish I could watch History but using this HDTV i got last year I barely get any channels unless I get a box. I had more channels with my CRT for some reason.

but that's completely off topic... it happens

Cool, because if you said the US i was going to stick a pencil in my eye. I saw a preview for the US episode where they did the Limo's and my head just shook back and forth for about an hour. Why? Why? Why can't they do one original episode without ripping off the UK show????

If you haven't seen Top Gear UK, you're missing out on a cinematic masterpiece. They're more than just a car show. Each episode is stunning in the way they are filmed. For television it's just incredible. My only gripe is they're not in 5.1 on DVD and that they don't always get the rights to the music they play in soundtracks, other than that just that they don't do enough episodes. I can't think of another trio in TV that can top them. You can watch whole episodes at streetfire.net, the quality is so-so, I prefer the DVD copies, but they sometimes replace some of the songs with other songs. Anyway, I can't wait for the next series.
