I remember reading years ago that Stallone charges a lot for autographs but idk if that was or still is true.
Anthony Daniels charged less than other Star Wars stars iirc.

And Crispin Glover (good luck with that!), Lea Thompson, Flea, Billy Zane and Huey Lewis!

Crispin Glover and Lea Thompson would be great to have on it. Huey Lewis too; for the music as well!!

But living here in the most isolated capital city in the world makes it all kind of hard.

I am talking about guys like William Shatner or Patrick Stewart who are anything but poor but still charge 100 $ + for a photo plus signature. Patrick Stewart is such a dick that when recognised on
the street refuses to give signatures or take a selfie / photo with a fan. I hate that. William Shatner charges like 125 $ for a signature plus photo. Come on, he is like 80 years old. Why are some people
so greedy at an advanced age ?

Argh! Good point! I'd want it signed FOR MARY by Mary Radford too!

Well, largely thanks to people like you, I don’t think people like Patrick Stewart really can walk the streets safely. If you really cared about these people read their book and leave them the bleep alone.

Related: In 2017 the KLF released a book and for one night had a signing (rubber stamping). The sign out front set very strict rules about not talking to them and such and one of the lines was something like “Do not attempt to take a selfie with the JAMs or with anyone ever again.” The book would have been the only price, I’d assume. I can’t imagine those guys charging for a signature, even on their death bed. In fact there is a movie about Bill going around the world and baking cakes for people.

I only hero worship a very small number of people...Bill and Jimmy are two of them. Some of their music hasn’t aged well while some of it is...Eternal. Their image though, the pranks, the innovation, the mythology, the photography...just about coolest ever. I mean, really.

Al Di Meola was live in Tokyo Billboard on Oct 10th and 11th.

Got ticket for the 2nd show on the 11th, yesterday.

Had prepared Al Di Meola Project: Live at Montreal International Jazz Festival (1988) [VPLR-70649] and Al Di Meola Project: Live at the Palladium (1991) [PILJ-1117] for signing, as well as my 1976 "Land of the Midnight Sun" LP but they announced a separate "VIP Sound Check" afternoon session where you could get items signed. Couldn't go to that one, work commitments.

Organizers: For the evening sessions, "no meet & greet or signing will be possible".
Me: hold my sake.

What kind of Frenchman would you be if you couldn’t bulldoze some Japanese event organizers? :)

I don't have any of my laserdiscs signed but wouldn't mind having them signed. I think it would be pretty cool but what I find hilarious is that SOME weirdos get their laserdiscs signed and they put up the laserdisc on ebay for a ton of money. I think most of these people are not able to sell the laserdiscs. While signatures are nice it's not a requirement to watch a laserdisc. Majority of my laserdisc collection is Horror and I have some obscure movies only released on laserdisc. If I was to get something signed it would probably be the obscure movies stuck on this format.

While I re-read this topic it was funny to read some of the older posts.

But if people like Patrick really feel that way they could always have chosen to work at wallyworld.

Patrick Stewart is an English film, television, and stage actor who has a net worth of $75 million.
BOO HOO HOO    SO SAD He can't walk down the street.

He can give his money back if he doesn't like what it brings........

Why are you saying crappy things about Patrick Stewart?

Also, looking up peoples net worth is trash behavior. Don’t do that.

I like to revisit this thread also.

Still tickles me that I had Alice Cooper sign my TANK GIRL domestic LD cover.

Forgot we had a thread for this.

Last year at DragonCon I got a few.

Got my Diggstown LD autographed by Louis Gosset Jr.

And got this shlocky movie autographed by Lou Ferrigno and Jess Harnell.

The latter I got kind of as a joke just because I wanted to see Harnell's reaction. You see, he didn't actually play a part in the movie (and he's probably thankful for that.) He sings a song in it (a really bad one.) Seeing as how he's Wakko Warner from Animaniacs I figured he'd have a nice reaction to it. He didn't disappoint. His eyes got REALLY big and said "Wow, I remember singing that song! It was probably my first gig in Hollywood! Can I sign it 'Wow!' because I've never signed ANYTHING for this movie?!?"

Same venue as last time.

Eric Serra (soundtrack composer for Goldeneye, Fifth Element, etc.).
