I have ordered from yahoo auctions and my order seems to be stuck in the packaging step , I have ordered from yahoo auctions before and it was quick and simple but this time it has been a couple of weeks and my order still hasnt been moved to step 7 final fees payment.
Anyone know why this is , I have contacted yahoo auction by email half a dozen times but have not had a reply.

this is a copy of what it says when I got to the packaging section.

Product Title
(Translated via software) Auction End Date Shippings Quantity Item Price Shipping Weight Shipping Details
(Date of Purchase) Request time (¥yen) method fee

08/19 21:19 2012 08/23 06:20 2012 1 3000 EMS 0g 0 view

As you can see I requested packaging on the 23/08 and still it has not moved from packaging , should I be worried? I deposited £200 in the yahoo auction account and now it wont even let me withdraw it back into my paypal account because there are transactions pending final fee payments.

Any help and advice would much appreciated

I presume you use some kind of auction service or middle-man service?
If so, which one?

I Google highlighted and  looks dodgy I wouldn't touch it myself with 100,000 foot barge pole.

What was you doing on that in the first place? Most people use eBay at least you'd have some cover of getting your money back.

Umm, do you have an actual (print screen) of this yahoo Japan site?

You know, everyone and their dogs buys from yahoo auctions japan these days...
BUT you use some kind of english language middle man service for it.
I am not sure what and how jaybe123123 is reading japanese auction descriptions, and handles all the aftermath stuff.
He must be fluent in japanese reading and writing.

Yeah, the problem with YJ is that the vast majority of sellers won't ship outside the country. If they wanted to deal with gaijin they'd be selling on eBay.

There are 3rd parties that will broker stuff for you. If the original poster isn't using one then he's either dealing with a rare seller or he's clueless as to what he's doing with his money. I'd bet on the later considering he can't even use eBay properly.

There are rare people that support the overseas shipment.

Yeah, I've always gone through a bidding service when buying from YJA. Too much trouble to try to find a seller that will ship overseas, not to mention any communications issues.

The bidding service takes care of all that. Of course, you pay for the seller shipping the item to them and then the bidder shipping to you, but it's worth it for some items. I got my CLD-R7G through one of them. Cost me a total of just under $500.

Of course, that was when the yen wasn't so strong against the dollar . . .

I've used a bidding service for 6+ years but yahoo japan auctions feels a bit like an overfished ocean these days.
Most of the time it is just the same old titles relisted....there are actually some discs that are the exact same ones that were listed 5+ years ago and still haven't sold!

I constantly change where I buy discs from because the good sources always dry up eventually.
No source lasts forever which is why I started establishing a network of trusted swapping contacts worldwide.
The very best titles rarely if ever appear on auctions for sale - they are privately traded amongst collectors.
I've mentioned this before and if anyone is interested feel free to get in touch for further details.
Some of my most treasured discs came via this route and I've never seen them for sale.

Eh . . . I don't think it's overfished. I do come across some of the titles I want, but I usually get outbid.

Just a few months ago, Lucio Fulci's The Gates of Hell LD showed up on YJA, but I was outbid by GoodSquidDiscs.

He flipped it on Ebay for a $100 profit . . .

. . . even though it didn't have the piece of 35mm film.

Well I guess my comments relate more to music discs since that is my main focus.
If you'd seen what was available in those auctions even just 4 years ago - it was breathtaking...now all the rare titles are gone.
I actually see more interesting music titles on Ebay that yahoo these days.

problem sorted , I think.

I opened a paypal dispute and then received an email the next day from yahoo japan auction.
I have paid ems shipping so the package should arrive within a week, I have ordered from them before without any problems and now the shipping is in progress feel pretty sure that all will go well.
I was out bid on eighteenth angel and hells gate so there is still some good stuff that pops up from time to time.

he posted all of the info but you never responded to that.
