I have a bunch - like 20 - Movie preview discs. Each disc has like 10-20 movie previews on them. They are in white covers and have movies hand written on them. Does anyone know anything about these. There are like at least 60 in total and they are numbered. They have all movies from United Artists that were being released over a month.

Sept 1992 Disc 29
School Ties
Mr Saturday Night
Hoffa
Singles
Dracula
Home Alone 2
Sniper
Hero
Night and the City
COlumbus
Passenger 57

Is one example
Ther are pioneer discs.

Might have been for shops like Suncoast Video that sold movies. I know they looped a lot of movies on their screens in the stores. Probably would have destroyed most VHS tapes in just week or so if they used that as the looping medium.

And they did sell Laserdiscs and could order Laserdiscs for you. I did pick up several Image Entertainment paper catalogs from them back in the late 90s (I've lost them all in a fire unfortunately.)

Oh I have one of these! Mine says Select-A-View on it I believe. And there are a ton of movie previews on it, not just one film. Tons of movies coming to VHS/LD or into the theaters. Mine is one sided though. :)

Mine are pioneer and they are about movies opening in the theater. Could be off the wall stuff as well. A few did have theater movies and a few strange things.

Yep, I have a bunch of these as well. The local UPS guy would save them for me when the movie theater finished the rotation. They were used to feed trailers for the TV monitors in the lobby.

UA theaters would play these on TVs in the lobby of the theaters. They would change every month.

There are some with commercials which were for specific stores. I have a handful that were from Circuit City.

Hi mikeystoyz

Preview Laserdisc's?

Very interesting, as I have never heard of this type before now.
These must be very rare indeed and to have them as collectables.

Someone was selling a collection that I wanted a while ago and the guy just threw them in. I never say no to things I have never seen before.
