Does anyone have an active site-link to Ro-Disc (Rotterdam)? Google seems to get lost in useless blind alleys. According to other threads on this site, it's been closed for several years. Sorry, I missed them ! Thanks for that, I thought I was going mad!

Besides ebay and discount laserdisc, I've bought most of my laserdiscs since I started collecting in 2002 from a store in Royal Oak Michigan called Thomas Video. They have a TON of laserdiscs and I always seem to find something cool everytime I go, though I might only make it out there once or twice a year. In their original location the laserdiscs were prominently displayed, but now they've only got a few behind the shelf, maybe a couple hundred in a backroom and then the rest of the thousands of discs are kept in an unlit attic space. They send you up with a flashlight and it's always an adventure going through all of them. It's probably my favorite store in the world. They have a few listed on the website but it doesn't really begin to cover their inventory.

They used to list soooooooo many more titles on their website (and I had ordered from them several times), but now there's only a few after they revamped their site. I was wondering if they had sold them all off or what!

As you can see, it's usually a good day when I get a chance to get over there and look around. apparently theyve thinned out the LD selection, and they keep moving it around the rear of the mezzanine. here's how it looks today (2012.04.11)

I am currently bidding on my first Laserdisc in over 4yrs and so far I am winning the bid. This is from a seller in the UK, so it wouldn't take long to be delivered. Regards to all

... actually went back today, somebody hid little darlings, but it was there @ $47.99!

Whoa, nice rack of LDs! Jaws and A View to a Kill would instantly be in my hands. Curious, how much do they charge for LDs? I still buy most of mine from ebay. A crapshoot most of the time, but I can't really afford much at once so I end up pouncing on a decent looking listing on the cheap. I think I'm going to try a few from Duff's site soon as the prices are quite affordable. A longtime record/video/comic/toy store in my area recently started putting LD's in the back in a bin. They usually charge $4-10 for most discs regardless of condition/scarcity etc. That said, some really interesting titles have popped up over the past few months. I think some old collector's either pass on or people find some LDs in a back closet somewhere. This has gotten me a few Criterions and art films. I popped in yesterday and found several nice titles-but nearly flipped when I pulled out an absolutely mint copy of MGMs deluxe uncut A Fistful of Dynamite for $8.

The LD box set of The Flintstones was priced at $50. Tom & Jerry vol. II was around $40, I think. The Forbidden Hollywood Collection II was listed at $120!! Another box set of Soviet Cinema was $100. Criterion's Three Cases of Murder was around $30, if I recall correctly. Jaws was pretty cheap, considering. I think it was around $14, but I can't remember exactly. The Chaplin Mutual box set was gone. The bottom bins contain $1 LDs that they're trying to get rid of. Nothing special there.

Mike Duff http://www.duffsflix.com has a great selection of $1.00 titles. I have found them all to be in great sometimes new shape. I also search here LDDB & ebay for titles. The sellers that think these are made of gold i stay away from such as ddons.
