Cararte,

I was reading one of your threads on avsforum.com, specifically where you hinted laserdiscs would return:

In your last parting comments you said:

Hi Everybody

I started this thread, and let me tell you something...just like all of you that have interest in the Laserdisc format, i also have lots of interest.
My interest even goes a little far than just "an interest" and i'm exploring the possibility of a "new fresh back".

Stay tuned.....

Just what were you planning.........was it the launch of a new laserdisc player with funding from venture capitalists?.......the suspense is killing me!

Please continue your discussion on this subject matter here as I never did hear what the conclusion was!

mayby starting a new pressing plant ? I really wondering if pioneer in japan actually destroyed their equipment. Mayby he bought it... not likely but it would be cool.

On a related note another guy from Russia setup a website about 3 years ago with an aim to sell spares for players and also source rare LDs. It all sounded really interesting but unfortunately the site vanished a while ago. The whole idea may have been hampered by Pioneer refusing to sell spare parts to individuals.

I think the notion of producing a new player or discs is pie in the sky but a one stop shop for repairs would be feasible for many years to come if players were carefully managed/recycled.
