I read the topic about Signature Collection by condorsat and thought I would add this topic to see where everybody was at as for
completed collections. In my collection I've completed these:

1- Signature Collection
2- Roan
3- Elite

4- Hitchcock
5- Doris Day
6- Marx Brothers
7- Abbott & Costello
8- Clint Eastwood
9- Julia Roberts
10- Liv Tyler
11- Cary Grant
12- Dean Martin

Well that's about it for now...this doesn't reflect every title as in having All US and Japan.

Don't really have completed collections ... I'll purchase the LDs in a series that I like and skip the rest. Okay ... I do break the rules now and then. If the price is right  I'll buy it.

My semi collections are ...

Criterions
Signature Collection
MGM Silent Classics Series (Especially the ones with New Orchestral Scores by Carl Davis)
Gate-folds
Movies I like that have good soundtracks
Hitchcock ( :eh: already own everything Hitch did on DVD ... madness never ends)
Vincent Price
Box sets (Dances with Wolves, Platoon ... etc)
Bert Wheeler & Robert Woolsey
Woody Allen
MTV Unplugged

As I've said before, I'm so nuts, I'll even make up collections as if there arn't enough.
Completed:

MGM Silents
Lunavision Silents
Republic Silents
Republic Cliffhanger Serials

Collections I'm starting to feel like I will never finish:

Discovision
1981 releases - (I only need 2 more and it's killing me!)
All silent releases - (only 6 more)
MGM Boxsets - (I think only 3 more)
Criterion - (I have first editions of the first 60 and many randoms after)
RKO Collection
Magnetic Video (1 more)
20th Century Fox Video (3 more)
MCA Videodisc (4 more)
Disney Boxsets

Jeeze I need help.

1981 - Aerobicise (which is a great reason for not collecting everything HA) & Making of Star Wars
Magnetic Video is the Making of Star Wars disc
Fox - Raging Bull, Young Frankenstein, Some Like it Hot, & (if I really want to be anal) the re-release of Making of Star Wars
MCA - Ghost Stroy, Halloween 2, Slap Shot, Yum-Yum Girls, & Private Lessons
Silents - 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Atlantis, Soviet Cinema #2, Les Vampires, Douglas Fairbanks #2, & The Show Off

I need to re-check the MGM boxsets because I recently bought a large collection of them and haven't gone through them all.

I've picked up a few that I have found but it's harder to know what was released in the first year than with US issues due to the Pioneer catalogs. If I ever found a Japan catalog I would be in trouble. There are also some silent films that were only released in Japan that I would love to find but again, in my experience, it's a lot harder to find them than the US ones. I do have many of the MVC Japan releases like these..

Looking at that list again, it looks like you recently added quite a few. I almost hate to ask, but do you have a catalog that has all the info and those release dates?

Wow, those catalogs are really cool! Thanks for posting pics! I can't believe they list the dates the titles were released.

Which ones do you need? I see a lot of the James Bond titles in the stores I go to. Not as many Disney but they do pop up.
