Thanks to Julien putting up a list for download of PAL LDs that were not NTSC releases. I was able to get around 20 or so titles that I did not have already. There was one ebay seller in the UK who had listed a couple hundred LDs and, even though they had US bidders disallowed, they gave me a good deal on ones they had not listed or did not get bids. I got these from them:

ZERO TO SIXTY
WHY NOT STAY FOR BREAKFAST
WHO DARES WINS
VICE SQUAD
THE SEAWOLVES
THE SALAMANDER
THE NEPTUNE DISASTER
THE KREMLIN LETTER
THE KILLING MACHINE
THE GREAT WHITE HOPE
THE CULPEPPER CATTLE COMPANY
STEPHEN KINGS CATS EYE
SISTERS
NATIONAL LAMPOONS CLASS REUNION
NAIROBI
MR BILLION
MOTHER LODE
HOODWINK
HANDS OF THE RIPPER
CITY ON FIRE
CHILDREN OF RAGE
99 AND 44/100% DEAD
100 RIFLES

Most of these were not released in the US, a few were but the price was right anyway, so I got them. The cost of the discs with the shipping from UK included came to about $5 each. Not unreasonable at all I felt.

Now my CLD-D515, that I got for $8 due to a bad load belt at a thrift shop here, will finally get its day to shine. If you have PAL discs you don't want and would sell, I might be interested.

There was one PAL only title I remember reading about on another board, that isn't in that list. That would be D'Artagnan's Daughter. The DB has it listed under the French title: Fille de d'Artagnan, La, with two different listings.

Right, that's why I said "most of these were not released in the US".

Personally I do not enjoy LDs in English subtitled in Japanese or Chinese, like Hong Kong LDs. The subtitles are distracting to me and I"d rather have a PAL LD of the same title. Sometimes the asian subtitles are really big and bright too.

However, I don't mind a film in another language subtitled in English.

Hah, okay THRICE!

That actually upsets me more!!! Why do the PAL countries get it three times and us NTSC'ers don't even get it once?!?!?
