I've rarely seen anyone talk about the seeming obscurity of the excellent TV movie Fatal Vision on laserdisc. It's not (and will not be) available on dvd. Also Rod Serlings' TV show Night Gallery is an awesome pressing. I got it from Japan where it was only released. The audio of his footsteps during the segment introductions and the howling wind in the graveyard scenes is spine tingling. Very cool cover art to boot. Last Man On Earth/Panic In Year Zero released in 1999 is another one I'm curious to see who owns.

Gee, I pride myself on being a big fan of Night Gallery but I didn't even know there was a LaserDisc release until reading your message. Guess I better add that one to my wishlist. Any idea what year it came out in Japan?

It was released in 1987. You'll have to switch your receiver to analog as even the audio is not digitally processed. Sounds great though, very rich and natural. It has very quick in picture Japanese subtitles that you barely notice. Nice rear cover photos. You can search for it here at the data base but I'm not sure of the availability. Glad to see someone take an interest in at least one of the classics I mentioned. Contains the three original episodes.

The first episode, The "Cemetery" is a long time favorite of many-it's awesome. The second episode is entitled "Eyes" directed by Speilberg. They never say that title in the show but it's written on the cover. The last episiode is never mentioned either but it might say it somewhere ont he rear cover in Japanese.

I'm glad to see that others enjoy this disc.
I found it last year and Boris Sagal's entry "The Cemetery" with the terrific Roddy McDowall is great, but I like the others as well. Spielberg's early TV-work is a lot of fun.
I believe the title of Barry Shear's episode (the 3dr on the disc) is "Escape Route".
