What are you going to do with those 3 copies of American Pie?

I figured that one out when I stumbled upon your ebay page after a quick search for Iron Giant...I'm surprised you're not going to keep that movie, its great.

Like I said, someone pays what I want or I keep it. Not a lot of people out there paying 100 plus for LDs now a days. I can enjoy it until it sells. I have watched it once and am saving money to get a better player so I can watch it on that. My ultimate goal is a copy of Titan AE. If I ever get one of those I can almost die a happy guy, lol.

A difficult goal to obtain, I've only seen one copy of Titan A.E. on ebay in my close to two years of collecting, and my LD contact in Japan says he's only seen it once or twice in his entire time period as a seller.....

So while not as awesome a score as mikeystoyz, I think I did pretty well this week. I haven't had the time to go through and catalog every title I got, but I took a few pictures just to show the sheer volume and will be updating my collection throughout the week when I have time:

Again, I'm going to need a while to update, but I more than doubled my collection with this last find, as well as getting a few more back up players, a DVL-700 and a CLD-D504 (with added coaxial digital out)

I purchased a similar collection to mikeystoyz around four years ago on eBay - it was listed as a 'buy it now' for £100 (around 150 USD at the time I think) - it was listed really badly, with little information - the title was '100+ Laser discs' and description was something along the lines of '100+ Laser discs, many titles like South Park, American Pie, Bone Collector, Deep Blue Sea, End of Days etc' and that was it - no full listing of titles.

I think the listing had been on there for about five minutes and I was the first to spot it.

I actually drove 400 miles that day to collect them, before someone emailed him and made him a greater offer! When I arrived, the box contained around 150 titles and all of them were 1998 and onwards, most of them sealed. The majority of my rarest titles came from that collection, and I still have them to this day.

One sad point to note on mikeys great buy is the fact that a few short years ago, this would probably have gone for so much more. As this is a regular auction, I am surprised that this wasnt spotted by others and the price didnt go sky high. People have obviously stopped buying collections to resell, or to cherry pick good titles - while there are a good number of die hard collectors still out there, do you think there are most probably not as many as a couple of years ago?

Which makes me wonder - should I sell off my 1999 & 2000 US & Jap discs now, before they are worth even less? Decisions, decisions....

I got my collection because it was lunch, I checked at 1216, the item was listed a little earlier if I remember and I did the buy it now. So, I think I was the first to see it.

Very nice collection! I like the 8" Beatles LD and the Beatles Anthology LD you have. I have the VHS of the 'LIVE' LD you have. I also have 2 sets of the Anthology set (since one of my discs was cracked). If you ever want to sell the 8" Beatles LD I may be interested in a trade or something. I have a DVD-R from a VHS, but it would be cool to have.

I received the last section of my equipment support stand yesterday and ordered my very first cooker ''all paid for'' including a hood to be installed, and all just in time before I begin decorating on the 30th April.
