Disc Flippers vrs Auto Flip

You'd still have to spin the disc down & start it up in the other direction. The only optical disc player ever to have a head on each side was a Sanyo "broadband" (not MUSE compressed) analog videodisc player, which had one side recorded in a spiral the reverse of the other. Not to mention, the tracking adjustments on a LD player are difficult enough without having to do them for two complete optical systems.

I'm going to go back to my disc flipper and use the Auto Flip as a back-up.

All of my players are dual-sided models, EXCEPT my main player - a Pioneer LD-V8000. Getting up to change sides doesn't really bother me, and the quality of the LD-V8000 makes it the best player I own.
