I buy poly outer sleeves in bulk because I also have a lot of LPs. I keep my LDs in the same LP bin as my records. It filled up quick since I started collecting LDs. http://www.lpbin.com/lpbinmodernblackI'm not affiliated with the manufacturer. There are plans to build one of these yourself on one of the audiophile sites if you want to save some money.

I just rearranged that top shelf a bit because I realized that the Fantasia box set would fit with the others now. It's a bit large.

Currently I'm using "garage shelves" to store my discs. Not pretty at all, but does the job. Got the shelves really cheap from the local prison where it were made, hehe. Probably will soon buy the IKEA shelves mentioned above, will look a lot better. Not a bad idea with a display stand, though! I do collect also for the sake of the artwork on the cover jackets. They will outlive the player, and some of them are just really cool to look at. Have seen a couple of people decorate their walls with LP covers, why not do the same with laserdiscs in the future? Most of my discs does not have any outer protection, but will buy a bulk pack with that one day. Don't pull out movies that often, so not really afraid of wear and tear.

ffutures wrote: Does the Vectex machine still work? I was working for a computer dealer around the time they were on sale, we never sold them ourselves (since we specialied in refurbished business PCs) but heard horror stories from shops that did, something like a forty percent failure rate inside the warranty period. But I suppose that if they didn't fail within that time they just kept going. Yes, it works just fine! I probably overpaid for it, as I got it from eBay. The condition were a bit more rough than stated. It has the common issue with buzzing sound in the speaker. That is a design-flaw and can't really be fixed. I had to open the controller as the down-movement didn't work. Turned out to be a wire that had come off the PCB inside. Someone had already tried to open it by using a flat-head screwdriver to pry it open. A lot of ugly tool-marks and missing plastic pieces around the edges. The screws are hidden under the label on top, and since it were already damaged, I just cut out holes for the screws. Didn't bother with a hot-air gun and try to peel it off without damage. It is also very common that the return-springs for the joystick break, mine are still intact.

nissling wrote: Am I seeing a boxed Metal Slug AES on the right? It is Metal Slug, but if you look closer you can see the cover is different. They're custom clamshell covers for MVS cartridges. The AES version is just extremely expensive, probably a couple of thousand dollars, while the MVS cost me like 30.

what's on the label of the Japanese-market memory cart in your U.S. SEGA SATURN there?
i have a U.S. SATURN myself, had mine since new around '95 or so, and have, in more recent years, been building up a growing library of JPN titles, using an INTERACT "GAME SHARK" as the regional-lockout pass-through.
i should just get around to getting an actual JPN SATURN,though, as they are probably affordable enough these days...

Doesn't enable you to play copied games, though. Very easy to obtain, even brand new in the box. A must have for a Saturn. Basically the same thing as your Game Shark, which is called Action Replay outside the US.
