I would like to know the best way to ship LD's. I was getting packages from a seller and he was shipping the LD's in the sleeve but my last package from the seller had the laserdiscs out of the jackets. So could you tell me the best way to ship LD's. Also the best packaging materials.

Some bubblewrap for stuffing the inside, and you're done.

Good day randomtvandmovie, Julien, Nicholas and Da' Dons; when all three of these kind and thorough Gentlemen shipped Laserdisc's to myself they always used the following packing materials; 1) High grade sturdy cardboard boxes. 2) Between every three LD's they place a thin layer of good card or equivalent dense foam. 3) And then around the 12+ titles a double layer of small bubble wrap. 4) Heavily but well wrapped with wide brown tape These guys take packaging very seriously and rightly so. Many Thanks

Thanks, I could not find any on the first page. Many forums usually have a rule where you don't bump posts that aren't on the first page. Does that apply to this forum?

I think it might be easier in a rephrased question like this. mikeystoyz wrote: Ive had a couble of things driven over. Some have survived and some havent. It is a roll of the dice and whether or not the gods are smiling on you that do as to whether or not the item makes it. Depends on the packaging. Packaging peanuts, as we probably know, don't do that great with LD's. Mostly because they are free to move thus allowing all the peanuts to go to one side leaving one side unprotected. If that got driven over, I'd say that there would be no chance of the package surviving. Thankfully most sellers don't ship with peanuts but I've had one or two. Mostly people who are selling who don't know that much at all about LD's or just one-off sellers. My hope is that this LaserDisc forum and it's posts may give a personal insight to one-off sellers who are selling 'Discs so that our online buying experence is vastly improved.
