Unless it falls through, I'm picking up a Pioneer DVL-700 with 183 movies tonight for $250. Hopefully there won't be a ton of dupes in the pile and maybe something good.

I did pick up yesterday from Ebay for a friend for xmas, a CLD-D505 plus some concert LDs and other movies for $130 shipped. Discs included were:

Pink Floyd - Delicate Sound of Thunder 2 Disc
Def Leppard - Live In the Round, In your Face
Phil Collins - Live @ Perkins Palace
Van Halen - Right Here, Right now
Warrant - DFRSR
Kiss - Animalize & Unplugged
Warlock - Live in London
Yanni - Live @ The Acropolis
Alice Cooper Trash Videos (Mini Laserdisc)
The Minds Eye
Star Wars Trilogy WideScreen, THX and AC-3, plus Stereo Play original Return of the Jedi
The Firm
Top Gun AC-3
Color of Night
Raiders of the Lost Ark & also a 45min Featurette
Eraser
Total Recall
Promotional Sampler Disc from Paramount Pictures

Wife says I have enough players and movies and to stop ;)

Really? Good to know. Sadly, I haven't any idea who Warlock is so maybe I won't feel so bad if that one leaves the collection.

Warlock was a German heavy metal band fronted by the beautiful Doro Pesch who eventually went on to have a successful solo career.
It was an odd release because it was German metal band performing in London that was only released in the US!
Very popular on Ebay and consistently sells well. Watch out for laser rot though as many pressings were defective.

It was re-issued on DVD fairly recently and then deleted so even the DVD is fetching big money today.

The ironic thing is while she is amazing eye candy for all us heavy metal guys, she can actually sing.

Possibly straying a little off track with regard to original thread....but for anyone interested...... there are several fantastic limited edition CD/DVD boxsets of Doro available.
These feature recent concerts to celebrate 20 and 25 years in rock - tonnes of cool footage, interviews, videos etc. If you are a Doro fan these would make great Christmas presents! Just be advised though I am unsure if NTSC versions of the DVDs are available - the ones I bought were definitely PAL so double check first.
