I own this LD but until last night had not watched it yet. I knew something was different right from the opening Paramount logo; it looked way closer to DVD than just about any other title I own. Within the first few minutes I concluded that this is the best looking laserdisc I have ever seen. Highly detailed, natural, sharp, no jaggies and almost completely noise free. I wish all laserdiscs looked like that. Beverly Hills Cop 3 (1994) [LV32219-WS]

I don't own BHC3, but I know how you feel. I had a similar experience recently when watching Jurassic Park (1993) [41830] for the first time. The widescreen image looks so close to DVD, even when zoomed on an HDTV. I never realized that a LD could look that good.

Jurassic park would definitely be in my top five along with the Fincher Criterions and Phantom Menace but BHC3 looks considerably better than any of these. Anyone else own this disc?

I have recently watched BHC part I and II and i'm sure I'll watch part III this week. I'll post my feedback once I see it. Up to now, Jurassic Park been the best VQ thus far that I have seen.

This was before he grew the quadruple chin and started to dick around with STAR WARS to no end. I bet that yellow sweater was blinding in THX! Its odd most of the Paramount laserdiscs that got THX didn’t get THX for DVD or have they, maybe they’re unofficial THX DVD like they did with Apocalypse Now and STAR TREK VI with THX audio only on laserdisc.

Yeah, he got chubby on his diet of high-end restaurant fare. But he's nowhere near Rob Reiner's size as yet.
And talk about losing your neck, that hurt Henry Winkler more than Lucas. But I would have liked seeing the 1978 Winkler in Grease as was originally planned. I think Winkler would have been more manly. Plus he would have been shorter than the others, and shorter makes greater tough guys, like all the great toughs, Cagney, Robinson, Raft, Pacino, Keitel, Pesci, Leo Gorcey. Travolta dances well, but sometimes moves like a gal (in Grease).
