I wonder how the few rotters I have?

I think side 3 of Men In Black CAV, last played maybe 12 months ago now?

Side 1 of Jewel of the Nile near towards end of side 1 thou a little traces of it on and off about 8 or 10mins in.

"StarShip Rotters" as I like to call it I think one of the CAV sides? That might be side 2 as side 1 and 3 are CLV.

I think I might have maybe 2 more tiles but can't recall them?

I'll hijack the thread a little since I have a similar issue. Uploaded a video to youtube showing my issue. This happens at the very end of side 2 on the disc, around frame 48500 (approx 30 seconds into the youtube video). This is a CLV/CAV disc. This is not a player issue, as this have happened at exactly the same spot on other players too. Although this player (HLD-X9) is the only player that actually somewhat played the video. On my previous LD-S9 it just stopped at the point the glitching starts. Read that this could be a warped disc, so I placed it on a flat surface and can't see any warping. No damage to the disc either.

Whenever I've had these issues it was some light sticky dirt on the disc, the other reason is warp.

I have a disc that plays perfectly on one of my players, the other skips like your video.
and I know that there is a slight warp on that disc I own, you can't see it but it was not stored right.

so it is better now but it's only been a few months.

Good Luck.

Allright. I could try cleaning the edge with some spirits (96%) to remove any potential residue. If not I'll put some weight on top of the disc for a while on a flat surface. This disc came from a collector, so I would assume he have stored it right. Especially since all the discs have plastic jackets that you can seal. But you never know...

There is also the chance that it's just a defective disc. They are rare, but they do exist.
