Just stumbled across this website. http://www.ld-dvd.2-d.jp/index.shtml Seems to have lots of info on the various releases of a particular title (Indy Jones, Rambo etc) from laserdisc up to Blu-ray. Some other interesting stuff as well. Even if you don't understand Japanese, the pictures are cool to look at. Check it out. |

This is an amazing site, they have some amazing info on the King Kong vs Godzilla, didn't know they lost the film and had to release the first version from a 16mm print, the later release was from the 35mm print. http://www.ld-dvd.2-d.jp/gallery2/kingoji_hikaku_gazou.html |

For LD release, the original 1962 version had to be reconstructed from different sources. |

Yes, I own that Matusri box set and they are cut but different versions of the films that have yet to be released on DVD or Bluray that I know of. Also some interesting info on Frankenstein vs Baragon. I didn't know that the first LD that I had at one time was the international cut and the later release was the Japanese cut with no octopus battle at the end. |
