Looks pretty great to me. Some solid DTS discs in there, and that Japanese Evil Dead 2 looks awesome

That is what I was thinking, and the Criterion Pulp Fiction, I have wanted to see that forever. It came out to be about 1.75 per disc, and I need to learn that not everything is a buck, lol. Anyway, the person is reputable so they should get to me in decent shape. I just couldnt tell what some of the top discs were.

Definitely looks a good deal to me.
There are a few good music ones and some decent movies in there as well.
All look in nice condition.

Yeah, I want to see what the discs are that I cant see. All I could see was music disc and the skeleton. I was thinking oingo boingo or social d but neither made and laserdiscs. I am guessing it might be the greatful dead. That would be cool. I havent seen that much stuff in a lot for a while and what the heck, there are 5 DTS discs there, lol.

Hey mikeystoyz,
You are correct in your guess. The Music Disc in the picture is the Image Entertainment release of "The Grateful Dead Movie" from 1977. The reference number is ID7346GD. If you look it up here, you will see all the info on it. The cover photo is from the copy in my collection. It is definitely a good disc to have, with side one in CAV. It was made at DADC USA, but don't worry about laser rot. It was one of the early ones made at that plant, with a low LDVS batch number. My copy plays great, with no sign of laser rot, so I don't think you'll have any problems with it. The later DADC USA discs, on the other hand, don't fare nearly as well. They are pure poison in my opinion, with an astronomical "failure rate". If you are looking at a title with a high LDVS batch number (above 2500), REQUIRE the seller to check it for rot, or AVOID it like the plague! I don't know for certain what happened at that plant, but it was certainly catastrophic. Whatever they were doing right in the beginning, they stopped doing it, and their products went to hell in a handbasket! I suspect that when they got the massive contract to press almost the entire Columbia Tristar catalog, they just got in over their heads. They probably let the quality control measures fall by the wayside, and the rest, sadly, is history. The DADC USA plant in Terre Haute, Indiana, will forever live in infamy. They will always be remembered as the "Judas Iscariot of LaserDisc manufacturers". They chose to betray the noblest of video formats, and suffered a tragic downfall. What a sad legacy to leave behind! Anyway, looks like you got a good deal on a nice lot of discs! Enjoy!

I like buying lots because there are always one or two that I want. I just pack the spares in lots of 50 and sell them for 75 bucks total shipping included. I sell tons of discs this way. I usually make the money back I spent on the whole lot and then some. I get the ones I want for free, lol.
