MCA's catalog was a total mess. For example, they have "Battlestar Galactica" issued as 19-007, issued in December 1978. That was the 5-sided CAV DiscoVision edition. In 1982 when the 2-sided CLV (time compressed) was issued, the reused the catalog number, but never revised the release date on their books - almost as if the CLV was simply a 'new pressing' on an existing title. To further support that theory, when a title on DiscoVision was reissued in CLV, (like "The Sting", "Jaws", "1941", "Electric Horseman", etc), the CAV title was completely withdrawn - so it really was treated like a replacement.
"Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" was issued in 1982 as a P&S release under 17-008 and then reissued in 1991 as 17008 as a Widescreen release. It's just bonkers how the catalog numbers were used. They were forced to finally give up the old numbering sequence when they had to start issuing ISBN numbers to the discs, and at that point, any title re-issues (that were not simply repressings) were given new numbers.

I'm not really sure now. LOL! Sorry I got everyone off track. The answer to your question could be 'both,' meaning titles released on LD only by DiscoVision (such as "Bustin' Loose") that have been released on other formats, or the titles only released by DiscoVison that have not be released in ANY other video format. They seemed to release alot of stuff like cooking videos and how to bowl type stuff that probably hasn't been released since DiscoVision. STAY AWESOME!

I meant the latter, discs that were only issued on Discovision and never got re-released by MCA/Universal or whoever down the road on laserdisc.
