I know how to do it with analog audio, and ive found a few things that let me use digital audio but then compress the digital audio for the output file(hauppauge...). But I want to keep the nice uncompressed pcm audio when capturing laserdics. Is that something I can do, and keep it attached to the video file still, or do I *need* to record them separately and mux them together?

Never tried capturing the video at the same time. My desktop PC is pretty old, but it's an i7 and glitches appear in the captured audio if there are too many other processes running at the same time.

So I just capture the video using my Blu-ray recorder while my PC (using an M-Audio 2496 running Sound Forge Studio for digital or Audacity for analog) captures the audio.

I just capture the audio off music/concert LDs and after trying some cheap ebay devices that sucked I was recommended an M-Audio transit here and it works great for PCM capture. I use Audacity and the transit and I get what I need.

Thanks for the help guys. Sounds like I'll probably need an m-audio device, if my current capture set up wont work when i try it this weekend(it has toslink input). probably a transit so its not an internal card thats no longer made.

I've got a 32 thread cpu so hopefully that will let me cap both at once, though if I gotta capture them separately thats doable.
