Picked up a copy of Discovision 22-006, "The World of Abbott and Costello"

I was never an Abbott and Costello fan, but I guess I haven't seen many of their movies (I could certainly live without seeing "Who's on First" again...). Some of the stuff on this disc was pretty funny and certainly not what I expected. Picture quality was good except for side 2, which had some speckling.

finally got a copy of Mortal Kombat: The Journey Begins (1995) [ID2997LI]. I had to buy this twice from a guy and suppose to haven't gotten a discount since I never got the first copy.

I was expecting something different. It looks like they used some of the game cgi and added it to the movie. The animation could have been better.

interesting to note that the MK the journey begins is also on the BD Mortal Kombat release but for some reason the extra behind the scenes fetturette is not.

Getting Ultimate Teacher (1988) [ID2240CT] along with Evangleion Genesis 0:4 and 0:11 from Surugaya-a-too (though I got the email and then I replied but in the reply I forgot to put the order number so should I sent another one again?)

I havent been buying much lately, but today 3 packages arrived at the same time, for lds I have been buying past 2 weeks.

Lot 1 - Horror:
Death Trap aka eaten alive, how classic isnt this ?
Christine, dont know why I didnt have this, so I made my horror collection a little more complete.
Happy Birthday to me, one of the few horror-movies I havent seen on ld. First time I saw it for a decent price with obi still included.
Image

Lot 2 - Rebecca
Some might have seen that I have been buying a lot of items with the Japanese group Rebecca, this is a add-on to my lds, I was missing the top 3 wich included some material I really wanted but only seen on youtube, will be sweet watching these.

Image

Lot 3 - hekiru shiina
Ok so the seller that sold me the rebecca lot had this lot to, dont know much about this female artist, pop-soft rock, sounds a little dull but at the same time quite interesting so I bought it for fun.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gX8xk-axqiA
Image

Lot 4 - Tonya Harding - Wierd stuff
Dont ask me why but I find this ld-release to be one of the most wierdest of all time. How many copies could this be made in ? How famous could this be over there anyway ? in Europe the whole Harding story was huge but in Japan ?

I just bought a collection of over 400 discs off of an incredibly nice, and generous, lady a couple cities over for a price I can only call a steal! I just started going through the discs today, and I already found a copy of Existenz (1999) [18115 AS]! I also found a few other late releases, but so far, that is the only one of note! I also increased my collection of Criterion discs by at least 100! This lady had the best taste in film of any collector I have ever met! I may never have to buy another collection off of anyone again!

Existenz and Titan A.E are the two LDs I really would like to own but I can't bring myself to pay $400 for existenz and near $1000 for Titan A.E. Finding existenz in a lucky lot like that? probably unlikely but finding Titan A.E in a lot for cheap? that day I will buy a ticket for lottery or go to foxwoods or mohegun sun(casinos) or probably both

congrats!! enjoy your LDs!!

Yeah, this lady was not a buyer of imports from what I can tell so far looking through the collection, so chances are I won't find anything like Titan A.E. But man, it looks like she was buying right up to the end! I have found a lot of 1998/1999 discs so far!

did you buy them new? I got mine new from a guy off of ebay and they came with some inserts but Volume 5 has problems (I've not tried six yet) I might find the DVD or replace 5 on LD. The whole idea of the show is pretty cheesey :)

nah, i was just attempting to complete the incomplete set that came in that 100 Anime LD set i got off CL some time back. that VOL and one or two others were missing.

that VOL up above, i got sealed from an HK seller for cheap. nothing seems wrong with it, though i have yet to watch all the way through yet...
