I have every ntsc widescreen star wars discs. I like this one the most. Very good picture quality and clv. I d say open it.

I purchased complete star trek voyager seasons 1-5 from japan. Now I need to buy new storage shelves:)

Thanks for the opinions guys. I was leaning towards opening but just wanted to be sure because there is no going back. I have one version of Star Wars on LD left to get, Image. How does it compare to the rest?

Over the past few days I've had double arrivals of Laserdiscs some new and some I like to own again.

Owned this one once but sold it and wow it has all the extra little leaflets inside just as it did when I first bought around 1997.

Arguably the best ever video release of the film. Color timing and detail are intact with the 1985 slight remix in wonderful sounding Dolby Surround with 3P0's tractor beam line included. Great quality in full CAV. Even the hardcoded Japanese subtitles are unobtrusive.
Now if only I could find that damned elusive Technidisc pressing... :twisted:

I own three Technidisc-pressed copies of the Special Widescreen Edition of the trilogy (so 9 LD movies in total; 27 discs!). I'm using them for a capturing/programming experiment I'm conducting. It was a pain-in-the-ass to track them down.

I plan to sell two of the three when I'm done.

Been a while since I posted in this thread.
Won a few LD's in eBay auctions and some nice deals.

Ritchie Blackmore: Shadow of the Moon - Missing OBI, but still fairly cheap.
Marc Bolan: On Video - Complete with OBI and insert for a steal of £1.39.
Deep Purple - California Jam '74 - Great deal, complete with OBI and insert.
Yngwie Malmsteen - The Yngwie Malmsteen Collection - Nice and in complete condition for a low price.
