My last two purchases were the IMAX documentary The First Emperor of China which has a very nice cover as well as
the Akira Sound Clip 8 inch Single LD release from Japan which is a nice collector's item for every Akira fan.

A copy of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (1999) [PILF-2830] just arrived for me in the post so I finally have a laserdisc from this century! Not had the chance to pop it in the player and check it out yet but the discs, packaging, OBI and Dolby EX insert are all in great condition. Overall the packaging is very attractive. Looking forward to seeing and hearing if the picture and audio quality is as good as everyone says.

I recently ordered; Tales from the Crypt #1 (has Zemeckis' All Through The House), Tales from the Crypt Demon Knight, and Gremlins (The '90 version with full cover art). I'm stoked for their arrival.

Billy Peltzer, Billy Zane, and boogly wooglies, you can't lose.

Next I'm gonna start thinking about Back To The Futures and troma stuff.

Eraser (1996) [14202]
Streets of Fire (1984) [SF078-0054]
Bloodsport (1988) [LD-NL-043]

Bought these todat at a local used record store. There aren't many used record stores here in The Netherlands that have laserdiscs so I had slim pickings.
I knew Eraser came with laserrot so I gambled and bought it anyway. Did a quick test and the rot level was medium. I have never seen this one so I will watch it.
Never heard of Streets of Fire. It was cheap and I was curious. Bloodsport is a Dutch release.

Hate to break it to you...
Bloodsport is a Qasqar disc.... Unwatchable these days. Laserrot is a sure thing with those discs.... Hope you got it dead cheap.
When buying collections I don't even bother to take them along. not even for free! Avoid them is my advice.
i remember owning Scarface once (1994) in Pal format. Was very decent PQ btw.
It's sad to see those discs becoming unplayable

btw. did you buy that Dutch laservision Joep Meloen from me some time ago...? :) That was my only secam disc around.

LDDB has it as a non-rotter Kuraray pressing, though...
