Bloodsport is a Qasqar disc.... Unwatchable these days. Laserrot is a sure thing with those discs.... Hope you got it dead cheap.
When buying collections I don't even bother to take them along. not even for free! Avoid them is my advice.
i remember owning Scarface once (1994) in Pal format. Was very decent PQ btw.
It's sad to see those discs becoming unplayable
btw. did you buy that Dutch laservision Joep Meloen from me some time ago...? :) That was my only secam disc around.

You're right. It did contain a lot of rot. I usualy only buy widescreen edition laserdiscs and bought this one on impuls. Good thing it whas cheap.
I'll avoid these releases in the future. I bought the Joep Meloen Laservision from Bram Kalkman's Music and more shop here on LDDB.
He lives nearby so it's easy for me to buy from him.

Bought E.T.: Limited Edition (1982) [42734] on Tradera yesterday for 200 SEK ($30), complete in near mint condition. A good deal for me as the shipping from the U.S. would cost me at least as much as the film itself.

Japan pressing of 20,000 Leaagues Under the Sea

http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-000-Leagues- ... 7675.l2557

I already have it - this one is a present for one of my brothers - what is really neat about it is the blueprint for the Nautilus.

Ah that explains it :) Impulsive buyer , I know the feeling
I hear Bram has a huge pile of laserdiscs coming from Ro-Disc. I never went over to buy anything. got one disc shipped from him some years ago. Was an ok deal
I went to see someone who bought about a thousand ntsc laserdiscs coming from E. Hulsbosch Shop in Baarle Hertog. Many mint sealed discs. many that won't sell ever! There are to many copies around for some titles. I got offered mint sealed Titanic discs etc. I kindly refused. :( in a way....

My last Laserdisc (and also first one after a long time...) was "Hawaii", this epic movie from 1966 in its 20 minutes longer version, which is lost since then and only can be found on this Laserdisc. It is the first of a lot LDs I try to get back now, to have the best version possible for those (classic) movies I love.

There were some LDs for sale on Tradera (Swedish eBay) last weekend, and usually you only find the most common titles there but this time there were lots of good LDs that you rarely see for sale over here. I managed to win sixteen Criterions plus Hellfighters (just because I buy everthing with John Wayne that I see)

Prices were mixed, from relatively cheap to decent but I'm very satisfied anyway. The Graduate is the CAV edition by the way.

Today I got the blood red pressing of The Evil Dead 2. It plays perfectly on all my players including the LD-1100 top loader and the HLD-X0. I had been told that the red disc wouldn't play on players that used red lasers, but that isn't true at all.

I was actually wondering because I initially wanted to get Hamburger Hill on LD from Qasqar and many of them were manufactured
by Kuraray according to the database which makes me whether they were really made by Kuraray which would be odd considering
how written they are according to your own personal experience.

Finally picked up Star Wars Episode One.

Bought on eBay. Description confirmed mint condition with Obi. Item arrived far from mint, and with no Obi.

Gutted.

Picked up the 1st two Hullabaloo LDs . . .

Image

Was disconcerting seeing some parts of the earlier volumes in color when the 3rd and 4th LDs were all in B&W! I read somewhere that it's like that because NBC lost the color tapes and all that was left were the B&W tapes!

The "Hullabaloo-a-Go-Go" segments are classic with the go-go dancers on the elevated platforms . . .

I have yet to see a Qasqar disc that is ok. Believe me, I've had many of those discs. In the garbage they went....
Might sound a bit  They aren't worth.... :shh:
I am all for ld but these kind of discs are a real horror.

You are lucky! While I have some of the Japanese squeeze discs, I've always wanted one of the Toshiba squeeze discs but I've never run across one for sale.

Awesome find.
