Got an small update on my collection. Been missing them for a long time. Specially happy for Toxic Avanger, eaten alive, island massacre and deadly spawn. But also for the ld with Chara, which I will be looking forward to see later. Also I bought Starblade, impulse buy maybe, but its kind of cool to own. Was surprised that it was both booklet and a production cell included ? Never seen that mentioned anywhere, very neat. Maybe start collection lds with cells instead. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thats not a production cel, its a lithograph on plastic. Starblade is a polygonal video game that doesn't use any cells for production whatsoever. |

I bought 3 dts titles for 7 Euro each ( what a bargain ) : The Crow, Waterworld and In The Name of The Father. Those are my first dts titles and the sound quality is exceptional. Especially The Crow sounds fantastic. Picture quality is good, too. In The Name Of My Father appears to be rare dts title. Not too many seem to have it. I am stilling getting 7 other dts titles for 7 € each next month from a seller in my country. |

Just came back from my vacation and bought these at Amoeba Music in Los Angeles. They had some nice boxsets too, which I would had loved to buy, but asked a absurd high price for shipping to The Netherlands. Bought some dvd's and blurays as well. Bought a region A bluray player as well (Some day I'll be running out of space with al these different players :p) |

Came home with another 75 laserdiscs and another cld-d925 player with a faulty laser. Changed that... spinning like a kitten now 30 Disney titles, a few boxsets , 25 classical music discs. Not my cup of tea There we're about 20 movie Pal discs (known rotters) among the collection. In the garbage they went. I'm only keeping this one specific disney boxset: The Hunchback of the Notre Dame http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/07896/795 ... tion-(1996) It is a very nice looking box. also proud owner of the dts edition. Picked up Thief just today (Michael Man's) very cool looking cover great movie looking for a quick sale on remaining discs. They really have to go... I'm not that big on every Disney ld to be honnest. |

confederate wrote: Never heard of the Roan Group They're one of the best restorers of genre movies late into the lifespan of Laserdisc. Their first release was the restored version of Bela Legosi's White Zombie And they released the first widescreen version of Lucio Fulci's Zombie in the west (before you could only get it in Japan widescreen.) They're very worth collecting if you're into horror and thrillers. |

Roan Group discs are excellent quality and usually have commentaries. They are predominately horror or genre films. Some really good horror, but also a few really good Film Noir films, like the The Hitchhiker and Raw Deal. Some good camp too. http://www.lddb.com/search.php?adv_sear ... studio=144 |

The one I have is out of print and fetches good money. |

I don't think it has a large cigulation but is not hard to find. I like Bukowski's books and really liked to have Barfly on laserdisc, although it's a 4:3 release. It's a movie not well-known here in The Netherlands. |
