I apologize if a thread like this already exists (I couldn't find one), but I thought it would be neat to have a thread where we share what our latest LD purchase is (or for those who haven't bought one in a while, share what the last disc you bought was anyways).

I just bought Wim Wenders' film Until the End of the World on eBay. It's a good movie which is not on DVD.

What was your last LD purchase?

Wim wenders confirmed the 280 min director's cut is coming from Criterion Collection on DVD and BD next year! There is a French release coming in November 2nd as well.

I just got Star Trek DS9 Way of the Warrior, STTNG Best of Both Worlds and STTNG All Good Things. Paid a total of £8 including post for all three. I was going to buy STDS9 Tripple Tribble Troubles but wasn't prepared to pay more than £4.60 for it on Ebay.

I wonder if it was the same ebay seller for the tribbles ld?

Managed to luck out and find a cheap lot ($15) on ebay with Project A-ko 1 (sub), 2 (dub), and the dub of Legend of the Overfiend. Overfiend alone seems to demand high prices on ebay. Sad to find out the hilarious intro from the VHS wasn't ported over. Mostly just saying that the kids in it are definitely not in High School, even though the original Japanese does explicitly say they are high schoolers.

You sir got a bargain. I paid just over £9 for the tribbles ld posted. But I was pleased with getting Dune, Insurrection and Starfighter for £45 again posted.

Would the intro to Legend of the Overfiend be on youtube? I might have to track down the VHS. Japanese educational system is different from the united states so the grades don't really match up to what we have over here but of that wouldn't matter for that change since we wouldn't get anything due to the FCC

I do my best to not pay too much because I know the re-sell value is poor. Plus I was the only bidder.

Found these at the record store on Wednesday:

Titanic (1997) [LV334812-WS]
Wizard of Oz, The (1939) [ML101656]
It's a Wonderful Life: 45th Anniversary (1946) [LV22062]

"Titanic" seems to be rot-free from the bits and pieces I checked out. Still has the original shrinkwrap and gold "THX/Dolby Digital" sticker on it. Looks like it was probably only played once or twice at most.

Picked this up at Chiller Theatre Expo

Apparently this is the only means to get the long version of the film. Not that too many people actually want it . . .

Weird stuff in the mail today.
Really weird.
A factory-sealed "Sailor Moon" karaoke LD-Single, a CDV-Single of mostly nude photos bound into a book of the same, another CDV with five minutes of playthrough of a Sega racing arcade game...

Three packages from Japan arrived today. All slow boat shipping.

End of Evangelion Boxset (Wow its big)
Roots (Much love Good Squid)
Zombie - Dawn of the Dead: Perfect Collection (Very nice set. The booklet is pretty awesome. Has a map of the mall, plus a page explaining the different versions, including the original Japanese release which said an Asteroid caused the zombies!)

Nice haul! I'm on the lookout for the Evangelion box set as well. I put the Good Squid on the case, I'm sure he'll find one soon enough. Really great guy to deal with. That Dawn of the Dead set also sound really tempting from your description... Might have to add it to my wishlist as well!
