Is the best way to scan the LD cover without the Discs of course(Dunno if laser might screw them up, and don't want to take that chance either...) or with a camera? Because I actually have a couple titles that the site doesn't have cover photos of, and I would love to help. Thanks once again for all the kind words, and questions asked. You guys are awesome!

Usually use a my digital camera with a tripod while standing up the LD cover up against a box on a table during the day (so a flash isn't necessary.)

Also, if you have photoshop, the perspective crop tool is indispensible to get the shot right . . .

. . . I've also used that taking a picture of an LD at an off angle when I've had to use a flash (so the flash isn't reflected on the cover), but taking the pic without a flash is best.

When I was building the DiscoVision web site, I used a flat-bed scanner and scanned the left and right sides of the jacket. I would then mate the pictures together with Photoshop.

If you have the ability to bounce your flash of of a ceiling or wall, you can find an angle that works well without getting a nasty reflection off the cover.
