substance wrote: Excellent films. Silent running and andromeda strain are a bit on the slow side but scifi classics. First man on the moon and the blob are most fun. There is another release of silent running bundled with another scifi film. You lose the cool cover art but get lbx widescreen version of the film. Thanks substance, I haven't seen any of these movies in quite a while so I'm looking forward to a few good viewings. With my screen set up I can accommodate any thing between 2.40 and 1.33 to 1.

Overall it's in good condition, I'd like to have them, but even without the lithographs I was happy to find it. How about the Portfolio? Does it include that? Anyway with or without the Portfolio/Lithographs it is a very nice set. Mine is complete so it includes everything, but for $10 you can't go wrong.

There're some cheap LD's (50 cents!) at the Orcutt, CA Goodwill. I grabbed seven, including Eraser (could use a reference DADC rotter ) and some light/common entertainment titles.

I watched Lion King the other night, which I've always liked that movie, and maybe I'm biased, but I think the transfer in this set looks pretty good. Anyway, to my pleasant surprise, everything was in the box, portfolio, lithographs and all.

Ssup, everyone. Here's my purchase from December. I tend to buy stuff from Japan 3-4 times a year, so my next update might be in 2-3 months or so. The rest of my collection can be found in my greeting topic.

bullruckle wrote: Pretty nice find today. Where did you find those from? If craiglist then its the best yet. If only if you had the obi for cutthroat island, people would pay $300 or so for that one alone. Basic instinct and cliffhanger are also $50 or so but not that much sought after. If evil dead is the red disc, you would find a buyer in one day. There is a lot of followers for that disc. Bugs life is a late release too. Great find indeed.

On Facebook he said Hard-Off in Japan, $2 each. I got a few random disks lately (a couple of OPA's, some trailer disks, etc), and that batch of disks from Goodwill I think I already mentioned.

The first one I bought was B.C. Holiday Happenings because the youtube video was crap. Ironically, thats what started me into this whole business...
then also, ironically--I scratched my brand new B.C. disc when my player imploded and springs and things went everywhere...
So, the last LD I just bought: B.C. Holiday Happenings...new copy...again.

Robinson Crusoe on Mars. Won it on eBay for five dollars, so happy! I have had all the formats now except VHS--I even had a pirate copy on DVD but gave it away when I got my Blu-ray and DVD "real" copies.
