Picked up some LD's on Sat. at my local thrift store. I found a nice little collection of titles, mostly what I would rate in 8-10 condition. Nothing that I couldn't live without, but a few movies that I don't have on DVD or in my Plex (media server) library.
Picked up: The Relic (wanting to get on DVD for awhile), The Phantom, Pretty Woman, Mission Impossible, Angels in the Outfield, The Arrival, A League of Their Own, Dragon Bruce Lee, Broken Arrow. There was a good deal more and I'll probably go back and grab the rest if they're still there.
They cost a whopping 2.48 each.
During checkout the lady wanted to make sure I knew these were LD's. I said I wasn't sure how anyone could mistake them for DVD's, trying not to sound too condescending, but I think she might have been referring to LP's, again not sure since they were movies.
When walking out the door a man stopped and asked if I collected LP's. I said Laserdiscs, actually. He had a puzzled look on his face and said what's that? Pre DVD's, I responded. I told him what they were and he was a little amazed having never heard of them before.
Any way, first time buying some LD's locally. I'd like to find more local because they tend to go more per disc on eBay.
