Of course, little they knew that Warner US would re-invent the DIVX format by... releasing HD-DVDs that rot quite fast! Julien My first DVD player was a RCA RC5231Z DIVX player from Circuit City. I got it when DIVX was done and got some titles free in the mail: Lethal Weapon 4, Stargate, Six Days Seven Nights, Stepmom and Lost in Space

I think there's only one bit he left out: HDVS on LaserDisc (might be the 3rd SONY 24mn/side Recorder he described). But since it was not a retail format, it didn't have to be included. Julien

I watched pretty much all of his videos after coming across the LD series. Honestly, the CED series the most interesting of all of them. The power system/standards videos are solid/informative too... only ones I haven't watched are the lamp/appliance/HVAC/
This also led me down the TechMoan rabbit hole as well (had already watched his LD and Muse videos) and now I've watched pretty much all of his AV and retro tech-related videos (pretty much everything but the dashcam, kitchen appliance, and puppet videos). I'd say TechMoan is pretty equivalent in terms of content quality, if not quite as thorough/researched/technical, but with the added interest of a lot more demos, repair segments, more frequent posts (even if some of it is short/filler), and a larger back catalog of videos that haven't aged quite as drastically as TechCon's early videos. It seems like TechCon is posting 2-3 times a month at most, where TechMoan is 2-3 times/week, with at least one of them being a longer detailed video.
