Thought I was cutting back on buying LDs but didn't happen, just won an auction with Walkabout and a few others, and The Thin Red Line at the post office.

Just bought Karajan Legacy: Beethoven Symphonies 1-9 [CSLM 916~20].

This is listed as a set on LDDB, but it came with no box, just the five separate discs. Bit of a shame, but they're otherwise very good.

Spirit of Wonder

It's a pretty cool anime that mixes slice of life stuff with some sci-fi. I have the US release from AnimEigo. I imagine it's the same dub.

Too there's only one episode. The manga is pretty fun and has some better stories than the one they animated.

Generally speaking, I'm not looking to add to my collection. I fix my collection size to three shelves of a built-in bookcase, otherwise I'd probably fill up the house. Those three shelves have been full since I built them, so whenever I pick up a new LD, one gets the heave-ho.

That said, I did pick up a new one recently. A friend and I saw "The Devil Rides Out" on one of our psychotronic movie nights, and I loved it so much that I tracked it down: Devil Rides Out, The: Special Edition (1968) (Uncut) [EE3384]

I also have Lost Continent, The (1968) (Uncut) [EE5678], also from the Hammer Films Collection. I'm really impressed with these Hammer LDs, the ones I've seen all look pretty great.
