if you can find a sony 36" CRT go for it. otherwise, grab a plasma display, that is what i did.

I've been looking for a decent-sized analog display but to no avail. most of the ones I've found were small ones with a vcr attached to it.

definately go with CRT. no need to worry about DA converters or any of that crap.

37 inch or 40 inch sony wega tv. They weigh a billion lbs but are freaking awesome when it comes to LD playback. Just get a few people to go with you when you get it. Check out craigslist. They have them for sale often and cheap. I paid 40 bucks for mine - 37 inch wega.

Definitely 2nding the Sony Wegas 4:3 CRTs. And they're dirt cheap on craigslist. Even the HD ready ones.

Got the 40" which accepts a 1080i signal for $75. Very good for LD.

If going with an SD Sony Wega try to get an "FV" one. As in KV-32FV310. The FV models have 3D Comb Filters, and the much more common FS series has only a 3 line comb filter. The KV-xxFV310 is the best the Sony SD Wega you can buy followed closely by the prior year's model the KV-xxFV300. They come in 27, 32, and 36in sizes. The HD CRTs are definitely and option, but they upscale the signal which can never look better than displaying in its native resolution.
