I am lucky in the sense I am running my Player through an Upscaling DVD player. I have a D704 and have it hooked up to a Phillips DVD Ripper. It upscales from 480p to 720p to 1080P. I can notice a slight difference in each setting and when I was watching Eat them Alive the other day it was really nice. I was happy with the outcome and I think the age of the pressing means a lot to the whole process. I have noticed older pressings just dont look as good, but then again, what I watch it could just be the rotten transfer. Regardless, this could be a cheap solution for some of you guys. I did hook up the Svideo to it and couldnt see any difference with it hooked up to the DVD player or not. If I could figure out how to take a picture of it I would show you but I cant figure how to do it without washing the thing out. I have a 62 inch rear projection tv.
