Hello all, I'm new here. I'm a avid laserdisc user and just love the format.

I had a weird experience yesterday though. I bought the disc "Grateful Dead: So Far" and found that the disc inside was labeled "Grateful Dead: Dead Ahead", an earlier laserdisc. At first I was pissed, as that's a cheaper laserdisc to buy and I thought I got scammed. Then I put it in the player and to my surprise, "So Far" pops up, and it turns out it actually is the right disc, it's just not labeled right. I inspected the label closer, and it looks like it was done at the factory.

So my question is, are misprints common with these particular Pioneer artists discs? It's not something I've come across yet, just wondering if anyone was aware of a bad run or something.

There are misprints in everything in life.

The only thing LD I had was a mistake with Predator, it had the labels switched, so side 2 was 1 etc.

as far as the Predator disc... one could make the argument that your's may be the only one with correctly labeled side 1 & side 2
As a kid, I bought Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" on 45 & found that the labels for side A & B were reversed. (B was "Peaches & Diesel" in case you're wondering)
I love these 1 off's that prove a human was involved. I think it's a keeper.

Supposedly there were a few copies of Beverly Hills Cop III that had side 1 on both sides.

I have a re-printing of Pioneer's Duran Duran disc with the later black label instead of the older blue and white one, and it has a "Digital Sound" logo on it but the disc actually just has analog like the original pressing.

I have a few copies of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels that is side A on both sides, still trying to figure out how to sell them.
