I won the auction and the war. Cost me a bunch of Laserdiscs and 10 ounces in silver but I managed to conquer all.

I am going to try to sell them. I think. Though the hellraiser set would go really nice next to my puzzlebox. Someone throws enough money at me I will sell it. The existenz movie does make it all worth while, on a bonus note, this was fully paid by by sold laserdiscs and some silver! Lol, I will definately get rid of the matrix though!

Wow, I expected that to go for a lot more. Sometimes I wish I lived in the states to be able to bid on sweet lots like that. Though I can't complain, many a great find to be had in Japan too.

jeeez, i just looked at the Existenz page on the database.. any particular reason its so expensive? that one pretty much pays for the lot by itself apparently.. i was bidding on a movie at work today, had to take a call and the auction ran out on me while i was on the call.. so i missed out on it. it was the Lord of the Rings japanese disc, pretty good price on it too, but i missed it at the last minute.

I was glued to the computer, 340 was it for me, that was my max bid and i won, though it was 267 at 10 seconds left, I have no clue as how someone guessed I would pay that as I put it in at 6 seconds.

My wife would literally kill me if I spent that much on Laserdiscs. I don't think she'd understand that it's a bargain.

Nice score.

Well, some have to be sold to make up some of the money. That is the most I have ever spent on a collection, however, even at that I paid like 4.25 for each disc.

Isnt that yellow submarine pretty valuable as well? I saw that auction but I couldnt justify spending that much. Good deal though, congrats.

Yes, the yellow submarine is a criterion so it is worth a bit. There are a lot of mid range 20 to 50 dollar discs in that thing. Well, a few, and then a bundle of solid 10 to 20 dollar discs.

I don't think the Yellow Submarine is a Criterion. That looks like the Letterbox AC3 version and I think that one is worth significantly more than $50, like at least double that.

That would even be cooler, lol. The pictures arent that good and I bought the collection on existenz and the matrix alone. The rest is buttercream icing as far as I am concerned :)
