This has probably come up before but I'm too lazy to check. Anyway I was watching Gunbuster which is all CAV and the first side registered at 53949. I am not 100% on timing and did not time this but I think it was around 40 minutes. |

Per publius note on Gunbuster Top wo Nerae! (Aim for the Top!): vol.1 (1988) [BEAL-207], the framerate is set at 30fps. 53,949 frames would translate into 29 minutes. Julien |

So what's the deal with the CAV edition of Land Before Time? The movie is 69 minutes long but is on only three sides, so where do the extra 9 minutes fit? |

Being a special edition of an animated feature that benefited from the CAV encoding for frame freezing and steps, they might have simply split it by 20~25mn/side, waiting for a smart side break.
